Scuderia Mammina Car Restoration
At Scuderia Mammina, we assist owners of classic and special interest vehicles in restoring and resurrecting their beloved autos. Whether it is a ground-up restoration, or just getting her to be the driver you’ve wanted, Scuderia Mammina is here to help.
Jim Mammina has been building cars since he was in his early teens. His first projects included a ’55 Chevy 2DR Sedan Delivery and a ’55 Chevy 2DR Wagon. He also built and raced an Opel GT in SCCA National events.
Current Projects
A notable project that Jim is currently involved with is the vintage midget racer that a multiple Indy 500 winner is restoring. Jim has helped Johnny find many very hard to find parts for the car.
His current projects have included a 1997 Lincoln MK VIII, which he bought locally and drives on the street. The modifications included lowering, high-performance brakes, and paintwork.
His other project, which is now complete, is a 1967 Chrysler New Yorker. This vehicle was a barn find, having been stored for over 35 years in Central Oregon. As can be seen in the photos, the car has been beautifully resurrected to running condition, while preserving it’s lovely aged patina wherever possible.
Our Partners
We partner with many local auto specialists, whether it be paint and body, Johnson Machine for engine building, Richard’s Upholstery for interiors, Audio Northwest for sound, exhaust, or other mechanical experts, we direct you to only the very best people in the field. Johnson Machine built the original 440 into a plenty strong 425 HP 525 Torque beauty. Jim carefully selected the colors for the powder coating, to create a work of art under the hood.
Currently, Scuderia Mammina is a dealer for Scarab Motorsports, which is producing beautiful continuations of the classic Scarab racecar. These can be bought as complete turnkey drivers, or as a rolling chassis that the customer can complete themselves. Scuderia Mammina is also associated with Superformance, a manufacturer of GT40, Cobra MK III, Daytona Coupe, and Grand Sport Corvette.
