About Scuderia Mammina
At Scuderia Mammina, we help car owners revive, restore, and resurrect their vehicles—without losing their originality. From ground-up restorations to simple maintenance, our team believes in authenticity, drivability, and passion.
Our approach
We don’t just fix cars—we bring them back to life. Whether it’s a barn find, a race build, or a daily driver that needs love, Scuderia Mammina is your go-to restoration partner.
What is Scuderia Mammina?
In Italian, Scuderia means ‘stable,’ but in the world of cars it means a racing team—a place where high-performance machines are built and prepared to compete, much like thoroughbred horses.
We paired it with Mammina, Jimmy’s Sicilian family name, which is an affectionate word for mother.
Together, Scuderia Mammina ties our heritage to our passion for performance—keeping cars the way they were meant to be: built to be driven, not sit in museums.
Meet the Team
-
Jimmy Mammina
FOUNDER
Jimmy built his first engine at age 15. He and a buddy bought a 283 Small-Block Chain from a junkyard, rebuilt the motor, and dropped it into a ’63 Chevy II. From there it was one project after another—a ’55 Chevy Sedan Delivery, a ’55 Two-Door Wagon built for the strip. Jimmy set his sights on road racing, and he and his mentor, Frank Talliroco, built an Opel GT for E-Production racing in Sports Car Club of America National events. He campaigned the car around the Midwest for four years.
Decades later, nothing’s changed. Jimmy builds with finesse, preps every detail like it’s headed for the track, and sticks to his rule for classics: don’t over-restore. Cars aren’t meant to sit in a museum—they’re meant to be driven.

Lew Saeteurn
LEAD MECHANIC
Lew has been turning wrenches since he could hold one. With experience ranging from diesel trucks to modern computer-driven cars, motorcycles to vintage classics, Lew is fearless when it comes to tackling mechanical challenges.
He earned his diesel technician certificate while still in high school, and his passion only grew from there. When Lew met Jim, their shared love for anything that moves on wheels made collaboration inevitable. No project is too tough, no detail too small—if it can be driven, Lew can make it sing.
